About Tower City Volunteer Fire Company #1
Our History
Established in 1899, Tower City Volunteer Fire Company #1 has been serving our community for over 120 years. The history is somewhat unclear but originally two companies existed in Tower City, the Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 and the Mountaineer Hose Company No. 2. Eventually the two merged and became the company it is today.
Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and save life and property whenever we are called upon. We strive to respond quickly and with the ultimate professionalism.
Our Apparatus
We currently run a 2000 KME 2000GPM engine and a 2008 GMC 3500HD squad/utility
